Our Paths Remained Intertwined - Part 2

Continued from Article 1

I could still remember the events that took place during that ordeal. Mum was crying profusely, blaming herself. I hugged her hard and tried my best to make her understand that it had always been me, and had nothing to do with her. When dad came back, giving me his final words to either stop or get out, the look in his eyes were something I could still remember clearly until today. The next day I sat at the steps outside the lab at school, with wetty eyes, and Mr. E walked to me. I could see him crying inside, through his facial expression. I asked him "So what now...?". He took my trembling hands and whispered to me, "We take things as they come, k?" I looked at his face, crying for me to believe him, begging me to just let him take care of things, whatever that may happen, and not expect anymore answers. That was all he could offer at that moment. I nodded.

Months passed and we continued our relationship in secret. We knew from the beginning we were not ready to end this, regardless how tragic it was for my parents to find out about us that way. But soon pressure sipped in from every corner. Everywhere we went we were never at rest, our eyes would be busy looking out for anyone especially my parents, we were always hiding. His parents were also starting to question him about me. All his friends were staring to explore dating girls, while him, Mr E, the notorious rebel in school, still stuck in a shameful relationship with an effeminate boy. Peer pressure was constantly on his back. Teachers were also starting to talk and question about us.
There were already signs, I saw them coming, but I just did not have the courage to tell myself it would soon have to end. He would slowly reduce his calls to me. He would gradually make more excuses to cancel our dates during nights and weekends. One afternoon we were at his home, kissing on his bed. He started to kiss me ravishly, almost with anger, and I soon felt his warm tears trickling down my cheeks. I pulled him away and asked him why. He would not reply and buried his face next to my face, into the pillows. It took me more than 10 minutes to coax him to talk. He finally confessed to me the pain he had been enduring. "I don't know what else I can do, honey. You're the only boy I have ever really loved in my life, and I don't know how to go on like this." It was after several ordeals like these where we shed tears and discussion that I knew it was soon ending. I knew I had to let him go, he was a straight boy after all.
But never did I see it coming, the way I had to accept the kind of ending to our relationship. One day I heard from our mutual friends that Mr. E had started dating this girl called Lilly. Some of them were actually telling this with ridicule intentions, Lilly was not a very attractive girl, someone no one would expext Mr. E to be going for, without any question. Mr. E soon ended all ties with me without any closure. He stopped calling me, stopped talking to me in school, stopped everything that we ever had between us. He would not answer any of my calls. Hell took another level lower for me and I cried for nights. I knew what he was doing, he was forcing me to forget him, and he just did not know any other sensible ways to handle our situation anymore.
And that was it. As much in love as we were at such tender ages in high school, it ended with equal amount of tragic and tears. Years went on and he remained one of the most passionate lovers I've had. After moving to KL to live and work, I started moving into my new apartment in PJ, and one day fate played its tricks on me again, when I suddenly bumped into his name in our apartment's resident email list. I was shocked to find that Mr. E was actually living in the same block with me in my apartments. It was only a few more years later after this discovery that I finally saw his face again in the car park. He was walking to his car with another woman (possibly his wife by now, and in case you were wondering, no it wasn't Lilly). I saw his face looked up and was as surprised as I was to see each other. We pretended we did not know each other and continued walking. From that day, I have actually bumped into him for a total of 4 times, twice in the car park, once in the lift and once in the restaurant nearby. Each time, we ignored each other, but knowingly aware that we did see and recognize one another.
Of course, at this stage, I know for a fact all these mean nothing. It's just fate, that we were meant to bump into each other again, this time not as lovers, but just strangers who share a common past. And yes, life goes on....

I Just Bought A Loo-Is-Wooi-Torn U'Know...LOL

Expensive brands usually come with one thing besides high prices and glamour, they're absurdly hard to pronounce!! LOL Well, mainly because a lot of them are in French, so people like us Asians obviously struggle to get the right pronounciation.
Here's a few brands I've managed to confirm and sharing how they should be pronounced:

HERMES - In French, it's pronounced as air-mess (don't forget to accentuate the R for 'air'), but often known as Her-mees (also acceptable)

L'OCCITANE - lox- ee- tahn

LOUIS VUITTON - louie-vee-thonk (s for Louis is silent)

SALVATORE FERRAGAMO - Most of us would have gotten this one right, it's sell-vah-toe-reh-fair-rah-gah-moe (again, don't forget the strong R)

ESTEE LAUDER - This one's pretty easy too, it's es-tay-loh-der

GUERLAIN - ger-lahn (ger as in GARY's gar, with a strong R)

These are just a few. Do share if you have any others LOL

Our Paths Remain Intertwined... (Part 1)

Let's call him Mr.E, my ex during high school. The thing that makes Mr.E special to me was, he was the first relationship that went so serious it involved my family, my closest sisters and every thing dear to my emotions.

We started off on the rough side. It was Form 2, and he was one of those notorious boys at school, who would occasionally prey on us, being the softies and sissies. I hated him at that point. Then one of my sisters became frens with him one day, much to our dismay. Anyway, one thing led to another, we too became frens, and sparks just flew around like fireworks.

I still remembered our very 1st kiss. We we at my house, and he was as usual being cheeky, fooling around, wrapping me in his arms. At one point eyes locked, and he asked "Can I kiss you...", we just did without needing my answer. That night I felt weird, I sort off gargled my mouth so long in the shower, as if I actually felt dirty, I couldn't believe I was lip-locking with a guy I used to hate so much. But I knew I'd always have a weak knee for cheeky, wild boys.

Right at dat point I was sort of starting another replationship with another boy, Mr. J. I quickly then used Mr.J as my distraction from Mr.E. I devoted all my attention to Mr.J and started avoiding Mr.E. I guess I just wasn't ready for such complications at only 14.More than a year passed, fate brought us back again. Soon I was with Mr.E, very much in love. Despite his ruthless reputation in school, despite his wild escapades on his crazy motor-cycle, he remained one of the most romantic man I've ever seen. He would make us candle-light dinners (with his mediocre cooking, grilled sausages and eggs). He would take me on his bike going off to ridiculous distances to nowhere, just us two on the bike, talking & laughing. He would jump out of the bed for no reason, performs his silly rituals like singing MC Hammer's Have You Seen Her to me. He sang to me all the time.

We were soon the talk of the town. It was such a small town, and people started. Even the teachers. Mr.E was just indifferent whether his doings are taken well by others. He would at times wrap me in his arms in the school canteen despite people looking, some even spotted us kissing in class. Yes we were that controversial. Even our parents were almost sure we were having a relationship. One day, we were in my room, in bed, you know what I mean. My mum decided to sneak behind the house to catch a peek from the windows into my room, to confirm her suspicion. And there we were, me half naked and him totally. My mum went berserk. She slammed her hands on the door, shouting for us to open it. We had no time, and no choice but to open the door, despite not fully clothed yet. It was out. Her son was actually having a relationship with another boy. Her son was gay.
Mr.E was asked to leave the house immediately. Dad came home, furious with this discovery. Mum continued showering her face with endless tears, blaming herself, for raising a child to become this. Then dad gave his final words "You either change, or you get out of this house, I will have no son like this."

Ting-A-Ling-A-Ling...It's The Ting Tings

This is one of the more recent songs which is in my daily humming and must-listen-tracks in my car ride home after work, That's Not My Name by The Ting Tings.

It's just so cool. Their album contains tracks which are just like this song, similar to beats like Toni Basil's Mickey and The Knacks My Sharona. Their style and vocals remind us of the once popular girl-band The Shampoo.

A Pretty Delicious Bat....

The Dark Knight was without a doubt one of the better comic hero movies for me. Unlike the rest which heavily relied on stunts and special effects, this one actually has a credible plot, and it got us feeling for the characters. Besides Heath Ledger who closed his acting career with style & splendour as the ruthless Joker, we also have a pretty alluring Batman.

What I perhaps like about Christian Bale is the fact that he is not a typical beauty, plus he chooses challenging and unconventional roles to play. Take for instance his excellent portrayal of a chronic imsoniac in The Machinist, where he reduced himself by 60 pounds (27 kilos) by living on a crash diet of just apples and coffee. The outcome come was hauntingly convincing.

(Above : The transformation of Bale - 1st in The American Psycho and 2nd The Machinist)

Christian is manly by nature. Although his looks may fit better in villainous roles, he remains attractive. I particularly liked his looks in Harsh Times and The Prestige.

Christian is a Welsh-born English actor, in 1974. He will soon star as John Connor in Terminator Salvation. He started catching the eye of the public when he acted in Steven Spielberg's Empire Of The Sun when he was only 13.

Recently he's involved in a rather controversial negative publicity, where he's facing allegations that he assaulted his mother and sister at a London hotel. Read about it here.

Zac Efron vs David Beckham - Twinks vs Studs

Just came across this pic on Yahoo! The meeting of two guys often adored by millions of ladies and of course PLU's. Men alert!! Men alert!! Someone get the paramedics LOL
Zac Efron is only like 21 y.o. Teen idol successfully emerged from the movie High School Musical, Zac has been hailed as the biggest teen star in US right now by Newsweek. David Beckham on the other hand, sigh who doesn't know him, no need intro. He's 33, about 12 years older than Zac, yet, equally good looking, if not better. Obviously David has been photographed and desired much longer and on a much bigger scale compared to Zac.

His Emporio Armani's ads are simple eye candy...

(Above) This is my get-me-a-paramedic pic of him LOL

Fake pic of David LOL, not badly done eh....Now, let's move on to Zac for this battle of the hunks...

I can't deny he's very good looking indeed, but just too pretty a face for my liking...

(Below) He's definitely got the body. Hmm Zac, wat yer doin' there thee hee...

Fake pic of Zac..ermm....let's just use our imagination....So, my verdict, definitely David Beckham. Zac's too pretty-faced for me, but of course, still an eye candy. I used to rank David one of my Top 5 guys, until I heard him talk on TV. I was like "Eeeww...what a turn off!!" But I must say he's one of the most beautiful man photographed.

Finding Slumberland

This week is another one of those weeks I had to stay back late at office everyday. Been staying back until at least 9pm for the past 3 days, and looks like tomorrow will be no different. Work has been slightly on the crazy side these few months. At least one week in a month I'll have to go through this cycle. And the worst part is, trying to sleep at night. You come home all worn out, can't wait to go to bed and crash. Take a bath, watch some TV while eat some not-so-healthy dinner since it's rather late already (no time to prepare fulsome meals), do the usual beauty regime (facial care), put on the eye-massager and wait to doze off. And guess what, half an hour later you realize your mind is still running on a treadmill. All sorts of topics find their ways into your mind, forcefully. Try as hard as you can to push them aside, it just won't work.

This is the worst. No ability to take charge of your body system when you know without a question you are dead tired. Your mind just won't stop working. I've been getting this quite often lately, and it always happen during my weeks of staying back at work. It's pure torture. I need to find some ways to knock myself out in bed. Or change jobs.
