Beyonce - Get Me Bodied (Live Performance)

Everyone who knows me knows how much I love me girl Bee, here's one of my favourite song ever from her, Get Me Bodied. This is a live performance from her Beyonce Experience Tour in L.A. I was lucky enough to witness her concert live in St Louis last year. It was without question the best concert experience in my lifetime. Crowd was crazy, everyone's standing from the beginning till the end. The fact that St Louis had majority blacks made it even more special. They just knew how to move their booties and get on down in the stadium, awesome...

When the song got to the part 'Do the Oh-Oh, Oh-Oh', everyone went "Oh-Oh! Oh-Oh!", when it went 'Stop! Cool off, cool off', everyone fanned themselves like divas, when it went 'Do the old school dance, the old school dance', everyone did the old silly school-dance moves, when it went "Do the Naomi Campbell walk, the Naomi Campbell walk', everyone strutted themselves up & down like nobody's business, and when it went 'Pose for the camera now click, click', everyone posed like they never posed before. Now tell me where in the world can we get that kind of craziness in concerts here in Malaysia, like never!!

Some people asked me whether was it worth it to spend more than a thousand ringgit to fly to St Louis (a detour from my main routes during my US hols trip) just to watch her, my answer would be "I'd do it all over again if I could," and gave them a Beeeeyoncilicious smirk...

HK/Canto Divas Of The 80's & 90's

This is a rare performance where all the 4 Canto divas teamed up together, Anita Mui, Sandy Lam, Sally Yeh & Faye Wong...

We'll need more than 1 blog to write about these talented divas. And what great memories they've given us during the 80's and 90's. I still remember it all started with Anita Mui. Who could ever refute this artist of being the ultimate trend setter, the daring uncommon icon who always refused to be anything but different & controversial, her arabian image, her daring make-up, her cool choreography, the list goes on. Anita gave me endless chit-chat sessions with my friends at school, and often these conversations were continued on phone at night! We'll be rushing to get her albums first thing when they're out.

This is to me one of Anita's most unforgettable signature song and performance, 將冰山劈開 (Break The Iceberg), performed with The Grasshoppers. I really went crazy over her during this album of hers:

Then it was Sandy Lam, the sweet, girl-next-door diva. Her eyes were her first signature we remembered of her, and what a voice! I was lucky enough to catch her concerts twice when she visited Malaysia, and yes, worth every penny.

Then there was Faye Faye (by now you should have noticed I'm skipping Sally Yeh LOL, never been a fan of her, sorry!). What a character, Faye gave new meaning to a lof of things in the Canto entertainment industry, she was the first to explore light alternative music, not to mention the more alternative vocal techniques, her bizzare fashion, and of course, her demure, shy and don't-say-much attitude. I became such a huge fan of hers, collected all her albums, followed every step she took including her movies, her concerts, her everything :-) Don't know which song to post here, there's so many I love, anyway here's 我願意 (I'm Willing):
